I saw an EWS 67 running light engine into York from the north at lunchtime last Saturday . I presume it was on its way to rescue something broken. I've not seen one of these in York before. Does anyone know where it had come from or what it was up to?

Could have been anything really, replaced at Newcastle and heading to Doncaster or further south, the thunderbirds are regularly swapped.

Would of been 67020 or 026 on light engine movements prior to the drags from Newark-Peterborough via Lincoln and the joint line.67020 did 0B12 1038 Newcastle-Newark and 67026 did 0B13 0809 edinburgh-Doncaster for thunderbird duties at Doncaster
