Im quite amazed that EWS (DB Scencher?) are still in possesion of a plate off of a class 33!

I like the idea of a plate off of 59201, but i would have thought it make more sence to sell the nameplate, numberplate and data panal as a set?

The last Crewe Auction in Oct 2012 sold the nameplate, cab number panel and data panel off 59204 Vale of Glamorgan. The nameplate fetched £1870, cab number panel £1210 and the data panel £990. They tend to fetch far more separately than in a job lot. DB Schenker have been removing what worksplates are left on the 59s as they have repainted them. It will be interesting to see what the worksplate fetches as this will be the first Genral Motors worksplate in auction from a 59/66/67. angliarailway, for details on bidding contact Dave Lewis on 01948 665570

No - All the 59/2s have been shorn of their original names. Though that doesn't explain why the data panel and worksplate are up for grabs, admittedly.

I could've sworn 59201 still had a nameplate when I saw it through Westbury on Friday night (from the sleeper).
