Why's that? Do they have an agreement to pay the council if they don't run Severn Beach services? Typical though, first day and things are already messed up.

Bristol CC pay the TOC an annual subsidy of £138,000 to maintain an hourly service throughout weekdays to Avonmouth and on Saturdays to Severn Beach, however the Lib Dems are axing it in order to save money, however it's still in effect :)

Whats happening when it does change? (December I suppose - lower frequency and more buses?)

Well, FGW pledged to retain a service, see the TT consultation pages (if they still exist). I know one more service is bustituted Severn Beach - Avonmouth in the AM, the one that gets the commuters into Bristol for a 9am start!

Expect fares (which are currently lower than the bus) to go up.
