I wonder if anyone can help!
My company have booked me a ticket - an Anytime Return (with a disabled railcard) From Aviemore to Edinburgh at £42.40.
I can't get to Aviemore now and have to go from Elgin (at my expense), an Anytime Return from there being £54.50.
If I appear at the booking office in Elgin with my ticket and £12.10, will I be able to purchase an excess ticket for the extra Elgin to Aviemore section?
I don't particularly want to purchase a separate single or return ticket, I see no reason why it can't be excessed up to the higher value ticket, as they're both any permitted route tickets.
