Morning

I'm looking to buy an Explore South Wales Pass (the 4 in 8 days one, costing £69) from my local station near Stockport, so given that they might not be used to selling this product, is there any information I can give them that will help them find it on the ticket machine

Thanks for your help

Stu

They should be able to sell it. I've bought a couple from Manchester Oxford Road no problem at all.

Be aware you'll likely get it on bog roll from an Avanti ticket office though.

Thanks, I'll give it a go at Heaton Chapel, will be on Cardboard ticket if they can do it.

To hijack this thread, I was looking to by this Rover from GWR online, but it doesn't show as an option.

So is it even available? Perhaps from a ticket office is the only option currently?

I believe it's a Transport for Wales product not a GWR one so it's not available online, you need to purchase it from a ticket office.

Ah, ok, thanks.

I thought the Explore Wales rover could be bought online from GWR because the Valley Lines Day Explorer rover can.

I did manage to buy this ticket at Stockport in 2015. Mind you, I had a print out and the clerk asked to see it so that he could enter the exact ticket name.

Then in 2019 I was able to buy a West Midlands Day Ranger at Heaton Chapel, alongside a single to Crewe. This proved cheaper than a through ticket to Worcester, plus I was doing some detours to cover some recently electrified lines.
