I think another member of staff made the same comment yesterday on Twitter when it was circulated.

I thought a "dalek" in railway jargon was a piece of equipment used to operate early MGR wagons?

Already happened. There's a picture floating somewhere around the net of a dalek (not the ESR warning kind) placed on a bridge. I think it was somewhere in the South West.
