Hi everybody. Can somebody tell me what is the eye requests to be a train driver in UK? Most interested in London Underground, but if anybody have information from other companies or know eye request for station assistants in LU (if there is any) I´m interested also.

Somebody in another topic wrote about “DIRECTIVE 2007/59/EC OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL” which saying what conditions is. But are you really sure that this law is valid (that is wasn´t just a draft)? Because my country is an EU member but request here is 6/6 (20/20, 1,0/1,0) for both eyes, no correction at all. Or is my country breaking the law? It can be interesting law case at court :D

But valid or not, I didn´t find there answers on my questions, so if anybody know, please let me know.

There is it (fact that I found somewhere at really old fashioned page, so not sure if I can rely on then):

1) I found that uncorrected vision must be minimum 3/60 (6/120) in each eye (is it right?), so probably with uncorrected vision is each eye tested separately too or just together?

2) Near vision must be minimum N8, with spectacles or contact lenses if worn. Is it also right info? And is each eye tested separately or just together?

3) Is near vision being tested just with spectacles or contact lenses or being also tested without correction, and if yes, which limit is for near vision without correction and each eye is tested separately or just together?

Thank you so much.
