Fatal Incident at North Sheen Station

A man has been killed after being hit by a train at North Sheen. Reports aren't clear whether this sad incident occurred on the station itself or at the nearby level crossing.

From the SWT site:

Description: Emergency services dealing with an incident between Barnes and Twickenham is causing disruption to journeys between Clapham Junction and Feltham / Strawberry Hill. This is expected to continue until 18:00.
The following alterations will apply:

Journeys will be extended by up to 30 minutes

Mortlake, North Sheen, Richmond and St Margarets will not be served

Where possible, services will divert via Hounslow

Services between London Waterloo and Reading will divert via Hounslow running non-stop between Feltham and Clapham Junction

Services between London Waterloo and Windsor will divert via Hounslow calling additionally at Hounslow

London Waterloo Kingston loop services will divert calling additionally at Hounslow and Brentford

London Waterloo Hounslow services will be suspended

This is desperately sad :( Not too far from where I live either :( A delay back home to Richmond doesn't matter tonight :(

would explain why the 17.20 from WAT was so slow.
The guard was not informative and only when we got to Feltham did he say that we were following a slow Weybridge train.
