Cinema Sins, a bloke breaking down stupid parts of movies, plot holes, inaccuracies etc.
Only bit I don't like about it is that he has to include something in every video that he links to Ex Machina

If you actually give a modicum of thought to any of his "criticisms" you'll find they have little merit at all. Some people have even started doing Everything wrong with videos for his videos, pointing out which sins are just completely false. Cinemasins has very little thought put into it, there are far better video essays and film reviews available on YouTube.

A good starting point is "cinemawins", who has the same format only he points out everything great in a film. He gives much more insightful thoughts on films and still raises criticism here and there.

His videos are satire, and just that.

That's what he claims, but satire is supposed to be funny though. Series like Honest Trailers are better forms of satire. The problem is people take his "satire" seriously, and think he raises genuine criticism when in reality he's too lazy to think about something for more than second.

Like I said, there are FAR better channels on YouTube for both satire and criticism of films.

Like others I enjoy watching Tom Scott, ashens, Wendover productions and Geoff Marshall, among many others.

A channel I'd like to recommend is alternate history hub. This guy basically looks at historical events and speculates what might have happened if events had played out differently. Ie if the allies lost world war 2.

A Liverpudlian YouTuber by the name of Shaun has done a couple of videos dismantling the lazy criticism of CinemaSins, along with several videos debunking "fake SJW outrage" media storms about assorted media properties such as video games. He doesn't release very frequently but clearly puts a lot of work into the videos he makes. I'd definitely recommend his stuff unless (actually, even if) you're a fully redpilled reactionary.

As there are multiple channels of that name, his is the one with a skull as the avatar.

Just watched a handful of his videos. Thanks for introducing me to him. I've really enjoyed what I've seen of him so far.

Thunderf00t/VoT is another good one, a bit repetitive sometimes but debunks a lot of crowdfunding campaigns and supposed new ways of doing things (that aren't) or new "inventions" that can't ever work properly. Is a real scientist so uses science to debunk things thoroughly, and can do experiments to prove things when necessary.

Msylvain59, teardowns of mainly vintage military electronics kit with a bent to Soviet electronics, once found a Korg MS20 in the rubbish. French but most videos are in perfectly acceptable English.

Scott Manley - Everything space related!

+1 for this one, as he also covers nuclear-related topics in a series called Going Nuclear in addition to his space-related videos. The first vid of his I watched is the one detailing the physics behind the reactor design (RBMK) at the center of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster; also detailing what led to the reactor exploding. The catalyst for this video was the recent HBO/Sky Atlantic series. Thoroughly reccomended.

Mostly Glasgow-ish. Mostly.
Regular Car Reviews. Intelligent, beautifully composed reviews of everyday cars mixed with occasionally surreal and crude gags. I'm completely addicted. Case in point, his take on the Peugeot 205 GTi, the rarest of rare things on US roads.

Here are 3 (4) that are non - train but also non technical.

Periodic Videos - Chemistry of the Elements from Nottingham University. Professor Sir Martyn Poliakoff Talks about the elements and some other chemicals including Viagra, and shows experiments that sometimes go wrong or spectacularly well. The visit places such as Bondi Beach, Rio de Janerio and Dubna in Russia.
Netherlands Bach Society - Recordings of live performances of JS Bachs Music performed on instruments of the period. Got to be a Big Bach fan though. JS Bach Stiftung from Switzerland do basically the same thing.
USA Whats My Line. - Fascinating recordings of the game show from 1953 onwards. Black and White and from a time when US TV was civilised. The panel wore evening dress and the men stood up to shake the hands of the contestants.

For those who like Techmoan, the 8 bit guy is also worth a look..

+1 for this. 8-Bit Guy is the first place to go if you have an interest in Commodore 64 and MS-DOS machines, or even if you don't!
