there is a report on the notable workings section of the railwaycentre that a class 166 has recieved "new FGW" livery... it hasnt specified if this is neon or FCC style blocks or the mooted Names derived livery...

has anyone seen it...?
unit number is reported as 166220

As said above, my 'contact' told me it is in Road 3 of Reading shed but they changed the subject when I asked about the livery. It is indeed 166220 though.

T'aint a secret!
It was at Paddington platform 9 as reported by a good friend of mine, and was also noted at Midgham and Maidenhead the other day :)

If it is supposed to be a secret they're bloody crap at hiding it!

Thanks for the photo, I think that livery looks nice on them and also gives me an idea for an MSTS re-skin. (possibly) :P

The 150s were only refurbished a few years ago!

The 158s are in dire need of refurb, or even a good clean - oh, and working Aircon please :fucyc:

There's a picture of the turbo at Paddington in the latest Railway Herald that was sent out today for some reason, despite being dated as normal for tomorrow.

Why did they even need to mess around with anything below the carriage side?

I like the 158 interiors, nice deep seats. The wessex refurbs depress me!
