Not going to happen, and since LM already have quite a low utilisation of 153s they don't really need them back.

Many thanks to those of you who have posted some of the 153 diagrams.

I'm booked on the 'Night Riviera' as far as Plymouth tonight so I'll start with the Cornish branches tomorrow morning.

Just one query - what is normally booked to work the St. Ives branch ?

Now that LM only have 8 153 units,

I bet LM use them:
1 for Coventry to Nuneaton line
1 for Marston Vale Line
2 for Chase Line
but not sure about the other three though

Should be a 150, but it might have been swapped with a 153 from the Falmouth branch. It is planned to do that at some point.

How many 153 LM have now then and what routes do they run on?

Currently 7, with one on hire to Northern. There are four Class 153 diagrams, and one of those only runs in the morning peak. There is sometimes an additional diagram on the Snow Hill lines. There is no need for 10 units to cover 4 diagrams. A complete waste of resources.
