THURSDAY 27 OCTOBER 2005. SEVERE SERVICE DISRUPTION

All First Great Western and First Great Western Link services are undergoing servere disruption due to a major signal failure between Reading and Twyford.

Currently only 3 to 4 services per hour are being permitted to run through the Reading area and it is estimated that normal operation will not be possible until 10.30 at the earliest.

Further details will be announced as soon as they are made available.

Oh Dear...... :(

I was thinking the exact opposite. Today's problems caused decent traction to be used on a stopping service for the first time in gawd knows how long. Why can't all signal failures be this good? ;)
