Units have always stabled in Moorgate overnight & at weekends, as there was not have enough room at Bedford CS for them all to stable there.

When there were 4 x 317 diagrams working on TL a 2x317 stabled in Moorgate along with a 2x319/3 and the other 2x317 stabled at Luton Crescent Sidings.
All these units were all spare over the weekends.
Now Cauldwell depot is open one unit still stables at Moorgate in Platform 6 every night of the week, and is spare over the weekend. So you will always see a 1x4 319/3 in Moorgate over the weekend.
