  • when the new houses are finished build in sighthill Glasgow I see services routed in the new scheme

Yeah definitely. Before all the work started the 10 was always busy through there. Feels like that's been going on for years

The ALX Tridents were decent motors and it's sad to see them go but it's understandable as they are the oldest deckers in the fleet.

Do we know where most of First’s buses go for scrap?
FSE and some First companies in England appear to sell scrappers to Alpha Recovery, Weetslade. The Manchester and Yorkshire companies mainly deal with PVS Barnsley. Other scrap dealers known to process First scrap buses are Geoff Ripley Barnsley and Hardwick's, Carlton, Barnsley. I'm sure other member on here can quote other scrap dealers that deal with surplus First buses.

For the record the Gemini is not going to scrap. That line up is not the scrap pile either. That's some of the VORs.

Still an few ALX400s in service but these will be the next deckers to be leaving the fleet once more stock arrives.

Noticed an ALX400 ( sorry, I couldn't see the number ) on the 46 today as well as 37195. Good to see a posting from SarahDFIG whose previous contributions were most helpful and now missed.

Seen one on the 46 on Thursday too in Easterhouse. 100% agree with that. It's good to know what's going on from someone fully in the know

I believe the ex-77 E300s were transferred to Blantyre, Dumbarton and Caledonia depots.

Seen an E300 on a 240 earlier tbh. Probably just a lot of buses going spare with the frequency drop in some services on a Sunday compared to everything else during the week

Yes exactly that. Although I have seen a lot more Streetlites and E300s on the 240 and mainly branded ones.

Does anyone know if the 267 will still be getting branded as previously mentioned?

Blantyre operates all 240s on a Sunday as Overtown is closed that’s why the E300s are on it. The 21 is to be operated by single deckers on Sundays now.

They've had a bit of a nightmare with the changes this month tbh. All of the X1 stuff and now that registration being put in. I'm guessing that'll mean the X2 won't run then?

Will be a relief for anyone who uses the 19A

The X2 is still happening. This 19A is an SPT tender for evenings and Sundays

Yeah I've seen that now. The X2 is just a really poor attempt at a service. Could even have just made the 19A hourly all day and it would probably have worked better than the X2 probably will
