A person armed with a pen or clippers checks the validity of a ticket and stamps it. You need to travel on a train to see it in action......

1. If you're travelling in the seated sleeper, your ticket will be checked in the normal way by the conductor on board the train. If you're starting your journey from the service's starting point it'll normally be checked before you board. If you're travelling in a berth, your ticket will be checked by the berth attendant when you board.

2. Berths are numbered in the same way as seats are on daytime services, as are coaches.

On the Caledonian Sleeper the Sleeper Host checks your ticket/reservation at one of the 1-3 coaches they are assigned to, then they will ask Tea/Coffee in the morning then some of them ask what time you would like your wake up call

What journey are you making? As the sleeper is 16 coaches long, but we may be able to advise which part of the platform you need to go to.

If you want to go to the Lounge car I suggest you go there early as it can get very full, especially on the Highland sleeper out of Euston.

This is true, however at budy times the lounge car may be restricted to 1st class passengers only. If it is the Highland sleeper then its 20:30 platform 15,

Inverness Rear 8 coaches,
Aberdeen middle 6 coaches,
fort william front 2 coaches (3 coaches if you are travelling on a friday night).
