I personally like the E190 with it's 2+2 seat configuration. Does anyone have a list of regular to/from UK flights utilising this aircraft? I know I could research using flight radar but this could be very time consuming! I'm particularly interested in European and International flights rather than domestic.

Well for a start all BA CityFlyer (just watch out for the Billund Sun-Air BA franchise flight), KLM, and Polish Lot flights from London City.

Finnair about two thirds of their Manchester flights and about one third of their Edinburgh flights.

KLM has Embraers (either the E190 or one of the other variants they have) to all of its UK regional airports although typically focussed on the smaller airports with the bigger airports like Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Glasgow having the majority of flights operated by 737s.

Air France also runs E190s to at least Edinburgh, Manchester and Newcastle- maybe more destinations too. Air Dolimiti through Lufthansa also fly out of London City.

Unfortunately BA Cityflyer have ruined the fleet by starting to ram more seats in reducing the relatively generous leg room.

I believe the front rows are not affected but just the ones towards the back ?

Ooeeer, that's a shame, I guess the window alignment might then get out of synch?

KLM out of NCL are roughly 50/50 E190 or 738. However on a rare occasion a 739 will be sent

As an added bonus KLM Leeds-Amsterdam is often covered by Germanairways operating the E190.

Helvetic Airways operates the E190 E2 out of London City on flights to Zurich, on behalf of Swiss. These flights are bookable on Swiss' website and show as "Operated by Helvetic Airways", flights shown as "Operated by Swiss" use the 2+3 configured A220-100, formerly Bombardier CS-100.

Great replies, thanks, I will be making more journeys to the Netherlands next year so will try the various regional airport routes identified!

I'm 6 foot 3 and was gutted to hear about the change. Flew Barcelona to London city on one, down the back in the newly densified seats and it was fine. Not spacious but perfectly acceptable.

Wilderoe on flights to Norway too.

I do like the E190s, flew one on a domestic flight from LCY a few months back.

Never see the 737 900 in the booking system but they do turn up on UK flights, do want to log that subtype.

Edinburgh seems to be all E190s now. Last winter the new Airbus 220s were used.

I'm not sure they do but open to being corrected! They flew to Liverpool and Heathrow for a season but have since pulled out. Their remaining UK flights are only to Aberdeen and are all on Dash-8s I think.

No I don't think any are booked but perhaps they cover for any availability.
Booked on one BCN-AMS next week so hopefully we do actually get a -900.

Even rarer beasts are their handful of -700s

Flew Manchester to Australia via Zurich and Singapore. Flight MAN - Zurich was an Helvetica (on behalf of Swissair) Embraer 195 and three weeks later the return Zurich - Man was Airbus 220-300. Preferred the Embraer, but not much between the two.

According to my reservation I am booked on a 700 series in a few weeks, will be a second time on KLM 700 series.

If you're aiming for a KLM E-Jet, aim for an airport only Cityhopper flies to like Bristol, Cardiff, Norwich, Humberside, Southampton, London City or Leeds Bradford.
There's always a risk at places like Birmingham, Manchester or Heathrow that the plane will be swapped to a mainline 737.

Obviously all BA Cityflyer flights out of London City will be on the E-Jet too. There are a few others airlines at LCY who operate them too.

I thought KLM Cityhopper was a separate part of KLM and there wouldn't be an easy swap between the too.
They do have two variants I want to fly on, the E2 and E175.

They are a separate part of the company. In some parts like crewing, they are very separate with Cityhopper still having a fair number of British captains from the days when KLM bought AirUK. Though most of them are older given they haven't take on non-Dutch speakers since pre 9/11.

But they still routinely swap between the two. Especially at places like Heathrow. These don't tend to be last minute changes, but you should keep it in mind if you are booking months and months in advance.
