Can't understand all this doodah over the Palace - Cardiff teamsheet, surely every team, especially at Premier level, know everything there is to know about every opposition player and any manager worth his salt will know the likely side that the oppo will put out and any alternatives that are possible

Seems to me that Cardiff are so desperate they're just looking for any way of getting some points even though they were outplayed and justly beaten on the pitch

I don't care whether Palace have ignored the 'spirit of the game', whatever that means these days, nobody else in football takes any notice of it

True, and at the end of the day either Crystal Palace use spies or the team sheet was leaked by someone at Cardiff. If it was someone at Cardiff which would seem the more like scenario why should Palace have to replay it.

How's stat? (Taken from 1 of yesterday's daily rags) ....

The last time both Arsenal and Manchester Utd both failed to finish in the top 4 was 1979, a year in which Liverpool won the title. The team that finished 4th was Everton, and Arsenal won the FA Cup to break a barren 8 year trophy-less streak.

History repeating itself?

BBC are reporting Cardiff have complained under rule B17, which is along the lines that no confidential information may be disclosed or divulged. Surely under this offence it was the Cardiff employees who allegedly disclosed or divulged the information?

Pulis has now come out and said he can evidence his team sheet and tactics were selected on the Monday, and remained unchanged, Cardiff are alleging the information was only obtained on the Friday, so obviously didn't make much difference.

This is in addition to the fact that Palace's lineup was unchanged against Cardiff to the previous match, and the following match was also unchanged.

Thats what was in my thinking mate. Am surprised that Cardiff even have grounds to complain that one of their staff leaked information that looks like it had no bearing at all on the game.

Desperation in their attempts to avoid relegation? Get a replay on a game they deemed must win, and have a second chance at a result.

Big win for Oldham today as they won 1-0 at Colchester and we are now on 50 points.

We are now 7 points clear from Carlisle but Carlisle do have game in hand (as Oldham do) but surely Oldham are safe from relegations now. :)

Also well done to any Brentford fans on here as they have been promotion to Championship after they beat Preston 1-0 and both Leyton Orient and Rotherham lost this afternoon.

Perhaps the truth of the matter will be known eventually. If what certain people feel about the matter being trivial, why then is there a ruling upon this very matter that a need is felt for by the official bodies.

Could it be that the ruling body need to do something every now and again to attempt justification of their existence ?

How is it minnows like Burnley are able to get promoted from The Championship to The Premier League - yet huge teams like Leeds United are languishing there seemingly forever ?

Perhaps because they don't get sidetracked by ego tripping

Managing their finances well, so they can pay their players, and not go bust?

Leeds are not a huge team and haven't been for 30 odd years, the only seasons they did well in premier league was by living out of their means and going subsequently going bust.

Because they have Kieran Trippier, Danny Ings and Sam Vokes.

One might well have looked at historical precedents in Scotland over the last few years with regard to Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Ross County both entering in the Scottish League from the Highland League, working their way through the lower divisions up to the top league in Scotland, notwithstanding the matter of the magical mystery tour that was experienced by Gretna.

Well, after last night's results with both Burnley and Derby County recording wins, with three matches to play, Burnley are eight points clear with a better goal differential.

A reminder there's always someone's team worse off than yours! Read this in a couple of places - not sure why the ref apparently 'called it off' with nine minutes to stay. Perhaps Polesworth lost a few players after starting with ten?

Does no one in the Championship want the last play-off spot?

Chelsea 1...Sunderland 2

Chelsea 31 shots...Sunderland 7 shots

Rejoicing outbreaks occurring in the Anfield area of Liverpool

With the Sunderland winner being scored by a Liverpool player on loan at Sunderland.
So ironic after the number of times mourinho has rambled on about Lukaku being sent on loan to take points off Chelsea's rivals,

Mourinhos post match conference was the most sarcastic performance I've ever heard,

Rumours that the Polesworth team were stuck at Polesworth station wanting to go southbound are mostly untrue ;)

Trust me mate, no champagne corks are popping yet. I feel more stressed out than before if anything. It's ours to throw away. Four tough teams to beat. I said to a mate before, the only people more worried about 12 points than us are motorists right now.

Reports say that the Polesworth centre-half partnership was of a combined age of 97, so their reactions would be much slower that of the opposing forwards.

This has to be the end of the road for Allardyce. There were 6-7 months when it looked like it was all going to change (end of the Championship season, first few months of last season) but it's got worse and worse and worse.
And on a day when the club were paying tribute to 20-year-old striker Dylan Tombides who had passed away the day before from testicular cancer, to turn in a performance like that was an insult.
