Forgotten Weekly Season[7DS] query?

When is a season not a season?

When one forgets, or loses, one's period [monthly & over] season ticket one is entitled to claim back [within limits] the cost of any daily tickets purchased whilst not in possession of the said season.

What are the rights, if any, with similar occurrences whilst holding a weekly [7DS]?

Condition 38 of the NRCoT doesn't make a distinction between Weekly and "Other than Weekly" Seasons in such cases, though at my TOC you have to claim the refund at the original issuing office so they can keep track of how many you've had.

With a 7-day season you can claim back the cost of a daily ticket bought when you've forgotten your weekly ticket, but this must be done before the expiry of the 7-day ticket and the 7-day season must be produced alongside the replacement tickets purchased when requesting the refund. If the 7-day ticket is lost, then that is bad luck and no refunds are given and no replacement (duplicate) ticket is issued.

Thanks for the above. Would there be a difference for a weekly issued on a train or at a TVM? These sales would not be recorded in STIMS.

It's makes no difference as long as it goes back to the TOC who sold the 7-day season ticket. You are correct to say that the sales would not be recorded in STIMS, if anyone still uses it, or any other season ticket database.
