I saw that one side (the left hand side with respect to the cab) has gained a "British Transport Police Nottingham" plate. The powercar also has a revised version of EMT's livery.Any news on 43467's naming?
The alternative is that they had a perfectly good livery and the MDTR just can't help messing with something that is established and works for no apparent reason.I do like that livery revision! I lot less fussy and silly than the standard EMT version with the 'Swooshes' or dare I say it 'Willow Leaf' suiting the shape of the PC rather well. Also nice to see that they haven't continued the livery up and onto the cab roof as per the 1st version & GWR.

I'm still a bit amazed that removing the buffers and reinstating the fairing wasn't a budgeted for item in the Class 91 introduction programme.
I was wondering the same, I assumed they were ex GC, hence my question on the interiors, but looking closer, the paint looks a lot older than the power car paint. The rake of Mk3's it's puling, are they original EMT Mk3's or are they the GC trailers the power cars came with?

I think your right about this. I think they’ve missed a trick with retaining the old livery because that now means that any formation with the ‘normal’ liveried mk3s will look strange. The alternative is that they had a perfectly good livery and the MDTR just can't help messing with something that is established and works for no apparent reason.

A theory that breaks down with the EMT 158s currently going through for C6 overhaul, repaint and PRM work - the livery is the same as applied before.I'd expect they would. Stagecoach seem to be going for a slightly more busy livery, see the repainted SWT 158s (those done befote SWR) as an example, gone is the simple 4 colour palette, in is complex swirls and fading gradients

Was yesterday's run a one-off test, or is it in squadron service? I'm keen to cop it this weekend if I get a chance.
