Foxton to London with a Cambridge to London Travelcard

If, you start your journey at Foxton, are you allowed to "double back" with a CBG-KGX day return?

edit: and get on the fast train to KGX (instead of the stopper).

No you can't do this. The last time I checked it wasn't any quicker either.

If your ticket was a season ticket then it would be valid. Otherwise, no.
