Just looking at tickets from Frankfurt to Paris in August on tgv-europe.com for the 10th on the 16h57 and it is offering me seats upstairs

Is this just a fault or will a TGV duplex actually be working this train?!

Thanks for any help :)

It is a double decker. I'm currently based in Frankfurt and often see double decker TGVs at the Hauptbahnhof.

Are you sure that they work Paris trains though as they work the new Frankfurt - Marseille service?

I also can't seem to find any pictures of a TGV duplex on this route :?

This picture seems to suggest it's on a Paris - Frankfurt, but I have no idea if that is actually the case!

The diagram for one Duplex working is given in Today's Railways Europe issue 197, page 40. It's a two day cycle.

08.14 Marseille - Frankfurt 15.58
16.56 frankfurt - Paris ( time? )
09.10 Paris - Frankfurt 12.58
14.06 Frankfurt - Marseille 21.46

I have now bought and received my ticket and it looks like it is a duplex, despite raileurope saying it isn't over email!

Your ticket says that you are booked on the upper deck of a Duplex and have a meal included in the ticket price.

Thanks, really looking forward to it know, didn't really want another TGV POS since I'll be on one to Milan for the best part of 7 hours!

It may say 'fenetre' on the ticket, but seats with little or no window view also say 'fenetre' on the ticket. Even 1st class doesn't guarantee a view out of the window.

According to this here seating plan that I pulled from the SNCF website, seat 84 in Coach 2 is a table window seat on the upper deck.

And before anyone asks why I have this in my dropbox its because I was trying to calc possible capacities for a "TGV Grand Capacité" in HS2 service.
