Right well i desided to do a rover for a week and as i had done the north east version i thought id try the west one.
North west 4 in 8 is more like 8 in 8 theys days and non of the conductors/ train managers check the card you get with it.
The plan was to start at leeds at 00:00 on sunday( today ). but with a bit of a charm i blagged my way onto a earlier service.
20:38 Leeds - Manchester Airport 21:57 158xxx + 158xxx (6 car) (L)
22:49 Manchester Airport - Blackpool North 00:39 150xxx + 156xxx (4 car)
At blackpool north there was coaches put on due to engeneering works near preston. The coach was due at 01:00 but didnt trurn up till 01:45. The coach driver who must have passed his test before WW1 stayed in 5th gear all the way to the airport. This meant that the coaches top speed was only 45MPH.
We finaly arrived at the airport 1 hour 40 late.

At your had a chance to head over the river to Mc Donalds. Double egg mc muffin , hash brown and orange.
