hi, been eyeing up this tour:


Seems like a true marathon of a day. I guess it's been ran before, anyone been on it?

Anything to look out for on such a long "day" tour?

I'm very tempted - loco hauled to Stranraer doesn't happen very often.

Just take plenty of cash and provisions. It doesn't have much opportunity for stocking-up off the train.

On a long tour I usually think first class is worth the extra money.

Pathfinder are a good operator and 50's are good fun.
