GB Railfreight Rail Operator vacancy, pros & cons please?
Hi,Did you not ask about this same job not long back? I think for a female friend with children? Job is similar to what some call a Mobile Operative. Preparing freight trains for departure, fuelling, oiling, sanding, brake testing/assisting brake tests, cleaning, documentation, some shunting. Something along those lines, shift can be whenever they need you within the 24 hr period. GBRf quote a nominal 39 hours, likely much more some weeks, could be less at others. Only quoting what I’ve read, happy to corrected by anyone who works for or have worked for them. They seem like a good company though. Where abouts are you looking?
Is this the kind of role she thought it was? The name does seem like it could mean several very different things.Hi,
I did for a friend of mine but couldn't find the inital post
Thank you for the info regarding the job, I think she said the post is in North London....
I believe she thinks it's more shunting. She doesn't have any railway experience, but just wants to try something new! This role does sound tough though for anyone with delicate hands hahahaIs this the kind of role she thought it was? The name does seem like it could mean several very different things.
