Although they are similar in shape I think the front end would look odd with no headcode panel and the fact the 69 would also require a yellow warning panel too.
A fake headcode could be painted on,and as answered upthread apparently their headlights don’t require them to have yellow ends.

A pity about the orange lump breaking the line of the whisker.

I dunno about anyone else... but I think that after the rush to get 011 repainted, and leave 010 out in undercoat, beyond the 6 months it's already been operated in, there was an expectation 011 was planned for something special
I don’t know if this determines the livery on 69010 but looking back at all the class 69 liveries there have been no consecutive 69s in GBRF standard livery but there have been consecutive 69s in special livery like 004, 005

010 on this morning's regular Eastleigh to Hoo engineers' train so it's not being painted at the moment.

It looks like to me that there is a pattern with the 69s. Out of 001, 002 and 003 there was only one GBRf standard. Out of 004, 005 and 006 there was only one GBRf standard and out of 007, 008 and 009 it was the same! Looking at this pattern it looks like 010 and 012 could both get special liveries!

Is this 012 for repaint/first test run?
No its a 66

Can it be called "standard" if less than half (four of - so far - ten) have been painted that way? (69003/6/8/11)

I wonder if the GBRf livery people know they have activated the numerologist section of the UK's rail enthusiasts.

A 69 will be visiting the KWVR Diesel Gala. Specific loco tbc.
They're getting everywhere - Peak Rail (69008, this weekend) , Swanage (69007, 10-12th May), Severn Valley (69009, 16th-19th May), Worth Valley (possibly 69010 according to the BLS website, 20-23rd June)

I wonder if they read this thread for suggestions! We can hope - my vote is for ‘Police’ livery :E

So dedicated 69 red pen merchant will be having a busy time visiting diesel galas.

And hopefully:

1. Bringing extra revenue to the railways.
2. Meaning that the services hauled by English Electric traction might be a bit less busy.
