4 CIG ACTION
ENJOY MILES OF SOUTHERN STYLE!

Unit and National Railway Museum Class 33
working in push pull mode in a weekend long celebration.

To celebrate the return of Push - Pull style trains the Great Central
Railway has announced a special festival weekend. On the 19th and
20th of August the 4 CIG and the National Railway Museum Class 33
D6535 will be threading it's way between service trains all day long.
Clocking up well over 100 miles in the process.

Robert Crew, the railway's general manager said, "We've had such a
good response to our bold move to preserve a 4CIG we are turning over
an entire weekend to it and National Railway Museum Class 33 D6535.
Now is the chance for fans of the stock to make their way to
Loughborough for a weekend of mileage. If you love it, come and show
us."

The railway's double track will be put to good use so the 4CIG can
slot around the normal steam passenger service. The timetable will be
available on the internet before the event.

Robert concluded, "If it goes well, it's definitely a weekend we
shall repeat!"
