I have heard tell that his deep involvement in the £32.7 million upgrade to Chatsworth House included a much improved house heating system which led to his nickname of "Stoker", a title normally given to those involved with the boilers of sailing vessels.
It is indeed Stoker, for apparently reasons unknown. Maybe you know more than him :D

The first ever confirmed Piracy? Like a play was being shown, someone unauthorizedly made copious notes of it and started duplicating them ; like a baby version of modern film pirating.

You are very near the mark, but it was not piracy in the normally accepted understanding of that word, but something very specific that had never occurred as far as north as this previously.
