Okay, lets have a few guesses, then:

1/ Bill Crowley - Hawaii 5-0

3/ Marcus Petrie - Petrocelli (sp ... did he ever finish building his house?)

4/ Ed Brown - Cagney and Lacey

5/ Danny Williams - Magnum PI

6/ Mike Stone - The Rockford Files
I'm sorry to say that all your guesses were wrong, however if you were shuffle some around !

Petrocelli unfortunately never did finish building his house before the show was terminated.

Was Ed Brown "Ironside"?

I think we are struggling on this one, having mentioned all of the popular detective series.

I have ruled out the very old favourites like ‘Dragnet’ (did Joe Friday have a partner?) and ‘The Highway Patrol’. Columbo is a possibility but I think he worked alone.

There was a series in the 70s or 80s called ‘Police of San Francisco’ but I can’t remember any names.

Could you give us a clue?

There was a "Mike Stone" in "Hustle", who was otherwise better known by the nickname of "Mickey Bricks", but don't think he was ever a detective, unless, of course, the character was running some scam. ;)

You are so close to the answer with the series you have mentioned, just change one of the words and add another and you are there

Thank you. May I ask:

How well do you know your US girl pop groups?

Can you name the Groups that found fame with:

1. He’s so fine

2. Baby Love

3. Be My Baby

4. Captain of Your Ship

5. Remember (Walking in the Sand)

6. Dancing in the Street

7. Chains

8. Please Mr Postman

9. Da Doo Ron Ron

10. Will You Love Me Tomorrow?

And in case that is too easy, for a bonus point: Who sang about Mrs Johnson, who wore her dresses way too high?
