Hi

My friend is currently at uni studying environmental science and she's looking for some work experience/job relating to environmental hazards such as landslides

Is there a role somewhere in the railway that deals with this and if so what's it called and where do I find it

Thanks

I am not aware of anything specific but I imagine roles such as these will become more prevalent & important on the railway as landslips become more common and more hazardous

They have quite recently advertised for five or six roles doing exactly this job.

The big engineering consultancies will have environmental and earthworks/geotechnical teams, but they tend to work across other markets such as highways rather than specialising in railways.
