Get the Most out of SET 508s on the Sheerness Branch!

"From the December timetable change, the number of 508 diagrams on
South Eastern drops to four. I have got this from a draft copy of the
stock working, so while not final, it is unlikely to change
drastically.

There will be no more 508s on the Sheerness line from December 2006.

from december i think i read that 2 car class 466 will operate the sheernes branch... good to see that the 466's will get to operate independant of the 465's....


but still leaves the question.. what happens to the 508's....

do they move north back to their old stamping grounds with mersyrail
do certain of them have carriages removed and added to the swt 455 fleet...?
or do they sit and rot in a yard somewhere...?

Well SET dont have many 508s so not many 455s will get a 5th car

I'll have to get down and do some SET508 bashing at some time then, since I've not done one yet. Shame I won't get down before they comes off the Sittingbourne line, but at least they are doing some other routes that I havn't covered yet. At least 466s are classed as none plastic enough to help towards my goal of doing the entire SET network on none plastic trains (I've done a hell of a lot, it's mostly branches and filling in the gaps now, and most of that was on Slammers).
