Anybody know what the story is behind the giant Vimto bottle in Manchester? It is situated, off Sackville Street (on some green space), next to the railway bridge, between Oxford Rd and Deansgate stations.
Kerry Morrison did artistically produce one of these in the early 1990's to commemorate the Manchester connection with the firm of John Nichols, who produced the first Vimto product in Granby Row in 1908 and Manchester University offered a site for it in Granby Row.
Would the one that you describe be anything to do with this one ?
Found it. Must have walked past it a few times although to be fair I'm more familiar with the other end of Sackville Street :P.
What, you mean you use that Branch of Natwest, or do you mean the bar named after you down Richmond Street?
