Hey guys,

Morning

Sitting on a Dundee - Glasgow Central train in the last week of the Queen Street tunnel closure.

Can anyone tell me why does all the trains Aberdeen/Dundee to and from Glasgow Central always stop at Cumbernauld and pick up a DB Schecker guy before the train goes to central? They go into the cab on the way to Glasgow and then from Glasgow gets out at Cumbernauld too.

Noticed this a few times but just wondering why

The drivers and guards who normally work the Glasgow - Inverness/Aberdeen route don't sign the diversionary route via Coatbridge Central and Carmyle. It's the route conductors you see boarding and alighting at Cumbernauld.
