Does anybody know of any rail bus links, with through ticketing provided (or a railway issued add on other than Plus Bus), for which the bus leg is operated by Go Ahead or one of its subsidiaries, preferably Go Ahead North East but would be interested in others as well.

Many thanks in advance for any information supplied.

The most obvious one I can think of is the Luton Airport shuttle, between Luton Airport Parkway Station and Luton Airport. Through rail tickets are mostly used on this service, but single fares and concessionary fares are also accepted. It is officially numbered 888, but that number is not used on displays or publicity. It is operated by Go-Ahead London.

It was operated by First previously. Most vehicles used on this service are ex-First, including normal Wright bendybuses, but also one of the Wright 'ftr' bendies which seems rather odd - it is probably the only 'ftr' bus now running in service in the UK. There are also ex-Go Ahead London Mercedes Citaros (rigid) which seem a bit too small for the service.

I think the 888 number might have something to do with Capital Citybus days (which became First). This had Chinese owners, who also registered a bus K888 TKS or something like that, for the lucky num

Going through the list of National Rail Bus Links, the National Rail ticketed destinations (with routes and railheads) I can identify are:

Abingdon (Oxford Bus company X3/X13 via Oxford, Thames Travel X2, via Didcot)
Blandford (morebus X8 via Poole)
Callington (Plymouth Citybus 12 via Plymouth)
Hadrian's Wall (Go North East AD122 via Haltwhistle or Hexham)
Hythe (Waterside) (Bluestar 9 via Southampton Central)
Launceston (Plymouth Citybus 12 via Plymouth)
Swanage (morebus 50 via Bournemouth)
Ventnor (Southern Vectis 3 via Shanklin)
Wallingford (Thames Travel X2 via Didcot or X38/39/40 via Reading)
Wantage (Thames Travel X32 via Didcot)

I'm leaving out area and LA ticketing (e.g. Tyne & Wear area tickets), or any ticket analogous to PlusBus (GTR keyGo, for instance).

For you, that Hadrian's Wall ticket is £12.50 at the moment, so same price, and presumable same validity, as the AD122 Adult Day Rover, which is valid for a day's travel on the AD122 (a tourist service which is excluded from the North East Explorer, £10.50)

Also:

St Andrews (Stagecoach - mainly 99, 99A, 99B, 99C & 99D - via Leuchars).

For this the destination SAO is available on some journey planners (e.g. LNER and Scotrail).

Stagecoach != Go Ahead
