Mentioned in other threads. After 20 years the end of Network SouthEast branding is happening.

Moorgate, Old Street, Essex Road and Highbury and Islington are finally losing their branding.

Anyone wanting photos time to hit these stations. Old Street this morning had old and new branding.

Highbury and Islington looked all new on the City bound platform and very dirty already.

I agree. Nothing last for ever but as it has survived so long why not keep it. (No idea why it has taken so long, the work to remove it doesn’t look that substantial just a change of a panel. )

I thought it was way longer than that. I thought it was Chris Green in 1987 - Wikipedia however, says it was 1982 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_SouthEast

In the detail though, Wiki says the London and SE operating sector was formed in 1982, but the Network Southeast name and branding only started in 1986.

Shame, I had hoped the style would have gained "heritage" status and certainly brightened up the platforms somewhat...

I remember the network southeast days when you could get an all NSE day rover rover. Nice class 73 haulage from London Bridge to Dover.

Yes sir - loved it - and they were often/usually 73/0

    Such a shame :(

The NSE branding still looks fresh and modern.
