It's not booked 365, that's the timing load not the booked traction

If it were a 365, it wouldn't get very far at all past City Thameslink, especially with that gradient...

Would guess it's using 365 SRTs north of St Pancras/Belle Isle/Finsbury Pk as the 700 SRTs may not all be 'active' in the train planning software until May. What is the northbound run showing as?

Quick Update the unit due to be operating on diagram452 suffered a train fault on Spital Sidings, 1P53 was caped. 1C50 is being worked by 2x365 vice 700 RLU.

View attachment 43224 The first Horsham to Peterborough and vice versa pass each other at London Bridge.

And, true to form, many of the trips picked up considerable late running, masked only by the massive recovery time at various locations - which the May timetable won't have. This is of course despite being only six trips and running with class 9 reporting numbers.

Do we have any idea about Saturday diagrams and when these are likely to begin? Also, is there any increase planned for Sunday diagrams too?

True, although they will have longer turnarounds of around 25 minutes at Peterborough, as opposed to the mere 11 or so at the moment, which meant that the late running continued onto the next trip on Monday.

True to what form? They only started on Monday! I was on the first southbound Cambridge-Brighton.

We had an initial delay at Woolmer Green (not sure why), but then a Cambridge-Kings X slow was put out in front of us at Potters Bar. Possibly *because* we had make-up time at London Bridge, so it was better to keep the on time stopper...on time.

Then held in Canal Tunnels as we'd lost path behind a Bedford-Brighton. But no matter! The genius signaller at TBROC held that on the spur at Blackfriars Jn whilst we overtook on the middle track. End result? Them on time, us only 2 late.

True to Thameslink form. Had it not been for recovery time there would have been a lot of imported delay. And I bet GN users were served well this evening by their services not originating on the DC network in the icy conditions.

Careful drivers! Yesterday I saw 700050 waiting in platform 11 at King's Cross to form 1P70, the 1842 King's Cross to Peterborough. The concourse end coupler was literally a hair's width from the 'stop' sign positioned on a post in the four foot. Presumably, 1 mm further and it would technically have been a 'SPAD'? It struck me that the driver of a 700 is sat further back from the windscreen than on say a class 317, 365 or 387 and in addition, the sloped front means that the coupler face is further still from the driver's seated position. I guess this means that the drivers will need to be careful when using their normal visual cues to line up with the correct stopping mark without over doing it. One for the instructor drivers to point out, I guess...
It was only a matter of time before someone went to far... I noticed towards the end of last week that the stop sign just before the train arrester at King's Cross platform 11 has been in contact with a coupler and is now leaning somewhat!

Yes, I noticed this too - managed to take a quick snap of it. Didn't look like there was much damage at all to the 700 - the sign didn't fare quite so well though...!

Real train times shows some Bedford - Brightons running through - but "runs as required" so not sure if you will be disappointed if you went to travel on them.

For the last two days 2T93 0720 Cambridge North has been 2 x 365 (luxury spare seats at Welwyn Garden City yay!) vice 2x387s. This train normally calls at the villages, so needs to have SDO. Real Time Trains shows the train calling at the villages yesterday, although that could simply be spurious and actually the train past non-stop and it is shown as passing non-stop today. Does anyone know if this a change to the diagrams related to the roll out of 700s on other trains, or simply that there aren't enough 387s available, but plenty of spare 365s to avoid cancelling?
