Wha’s the reason for the suspension of passenger services running under electric traction?
The post you quoted literally says:
Don’t know why!

Or the mooted 60 mph PSR for all electric traction?Am I right in thinking that it is unlikely the 387's would be authorised to run through Steventon until a fully electrified solution were found because they do not have diesel mode to fall back on? It is conceivable they could be allowed to coast through that section but wouldn't that require some kind of special working arrangements to ensure that they have a clear run through this effectively long neutral section?

Hello all,
I saw another blockade listed for Theale - Bedwyn at Reading station yesterday for 19-22 Nov. Is this a new addition? I'm fairly sure I remember hearing the Oct one was supposed to be the last.
There was originally but is not required now.
Removed from the GWR website but there are still some old posters up at Reading.
That's a relief, thank you for clarifying.
Quoting myself, I can now add (having travelled in the opposite direction) that there is a complete run of C&C on the up main in the same location, ending just before the Bishton crossing.A run of earth and ATF wires has appeared on the down relief side between Llanwern West and East junctions. This is followed by a run of catenary wire with droppers on the down main towards Bishton.
Test runs with units need to occur; AIUI no units have yet run down from Reading on AC power. Can I ask about reading Newbury when is this section going to get used as it’s now energised and when do we get electrics was told by network rail that it will be done the same time as Swindon goes live but not the case ???
Punctuation will make more sense of this. Can I ask about reading Newbury when is this section going to get used as it’s now energised and when do we get electrics was told by network rail that it will be done the same time as Swindon goes live but not the case ???

13.29 SWA PAD 800 317 was electric from Swindon to Causeway LC then again from Moreton.
That is great news. All we need now is extension to Bristol Parkway by Christmas. That surprised me as I hadn’t seen any briefs issued, had a look at this mornings Late Notice and see that it was authorised for use as from 0830 11/11/18.
Should this read “24/11 to 25/11”?24/11 to 15/11: Filton Bank blockaded for further work to the 4-tracking.
It should! I've updated it on my offline .txt document, and I'll correct it here too.Should this read “24/11 to 25/11”?

I've plotted those in too, never worry! No, that's misleading. Filton bank set to reopen this Monday (18th Nov) but subsequent weekend blockades to follow.
Plenty of updates and videos on Network Rail Western's twitter account.
