150263 has new light clusters much like the ones on Class 165/166 units, and some Class 317s. They are painted yellow, as on 150275/150276 with Northern.

Apparently, it has also been fitted with a new Wheel-Slip Protection system, and went testing to Okehampton today.

158958 now in GWR Livery. Although not yet back in traffic, I have seen a Facebook picture of most of it sticking out of Barton Hill to be able to confirm this.

Argh, why? Always makes it look like they forgot to mask it while painting. It's the same with the panels they fitted to the ScotRail 158s.

43097 and 43122 being repainted.
800003 may have been given a fresh look and is probably running without names attached. Could anyone clarify please?

Understand that 1588958 ready to leave Barton Hill and that 158955 is taking it's place

Leaves 158960 as the last 3-car in blue (rather scruffy looking but pretty nippy off the mark at present) and 158763 as the last 2-car in blue (well - it's only 763 and 766 so 50% there on 2 car units!)

Shame it's been revinyled, as this could have proven to be a perfect opportunity to repaint it - though that doubtless would have had the unit OOS for longer
And it would have opened a contractual can of worms with Agility and DfT over paint warranty.

Noted on 19 March, but I don’t know when implemented:
* 800010 retains its Paddington Bear and Michael Bond names but no longer has Paddington images on the doors.
* 800004 does not carry either Brunel or Gooch name any more, it just has plain green space on the cab side.

I think T4 has been revinyled very recently, so possibly a symptom thereof?

Shame. Really wanted to see 800010 with Paddington on the side. At least he will live on my layout in OO scale alongside 800004 as well.

Would that mean that 800004 has the darker gray for the doors as well like the rest of the 800's (I'm going off the model which has a lighter gray than the other 800's for some reason)

They have a detergent film on them rather than fading - a good manual scrub or the application of a clear film polish would bring them up again.

That may be the case, but it won't solve the now peeling vinyl around the windows. They are starting to look shabby, no matter how good a manual scrub or polish will do.

I was on 150207 this evening as it was strengthening the 16:30 from Cardiff - Portsmouth as far as Westbury. Externally it is GWR green. Internally, not much has been done at all, it is still in lilac/blue Northern colours. The lighting is still the same with a lot of the tubes burning pink and needing to be changed (all other GWR 150/2s use LED tubes). The differences inside are the rails by the doors have been painted green, PIS has been fitted as has the toilet. Maybe GWR are going to refurbish the interior in the future to bring it up to standard as the others but I'm not sure.

I see some of the GWR liveried 158s are being displaced down to the west now, would anyone happen to know if there's any diagram details currently?

Livery doesn't enter into it nor are they displaced. GWR 158s have been working regularly again down West since last May and work round like the rest via Bristol

802014 has been named, seen 4th April.

At one end, “Edith New” and at the other “Megan Lloyd George” (sub title “CH”, whatever that means!). Both names are accompanied by images of the ladies in question in an oval.

Edit: turns out my memory is old and failing; should be 800014

I was under the impression they have been freed from Soton/Pompey runs by the turbos, that's displacement isn't it?
