Lots of TOCs seem to be advertising now. Wonder if GWR will
No chance, been told very little recruitment for this year with them, had a qualified application in for ages now and still not had an interview.

Depends on depot, former Anglia is different to former GE and former WAGN. I believe GE is about £45,000 after training and £52,000 after a year productive, I.E. from pass out date. Not sure about about the pass levels but believe they are enhanced.

Can someone explain what enhanced means? And if there are any other categories of this meaning

It's to do with the psychometric scores. There is a national pass level but many TOCs and FOCs use a higher or "enhanced" pass score.

Does no one advertise for qualified drivers any more :’(
Exactly what Im thinking. The phrase 'once you get your key the worlds your oyster' doesn't seem to be quite true but guess it depends on where you are based and what you're looking for.

I've contacted several of what may be perceived as the less desirable London TOC's to work for and got told the standard 'keeping checking the website' response. :'(

I’m not really in a position to relocate at the moment sadly so my options are:

c2c - don’t think they ever take on qualifieds

Crossrail - apparently no recruitment on the eastern section for the next few years

Greater Anglia - they have advertised qualifieds in the last so hopefully they will again. It’s actually a bit moot at the moment as I don’t have the required 2+ years solo driving experience yet so I can’t go anywhere :o

But this is a great opportunity for a lot of people so good luck to everyone who applies! Hopefully one day I’ll see you on the rails

Can we please keep this thread focussed on the 'trainee driver' vacancies only.

I know several people that went before two years. One from Overground to lner after 23 months another to EMR same trainee group as above. And another from Overground to EMR in under two years.

Is that two years after passout?

Application score - Anyone know what this means and what it is scored out off ? If You log onto the webpage down your application at the top it says application score.

Thanks in advance

I wouldn't worry too much about it, it may be an internal code regarding depot or something else rather innocuous.

Well done getting your application in quick <:D
