When using the software, what's a good score? Or what do you need to aim for?

You should aim to get to roughly the same point of every sheet to ensure consistency of performance. Because of this, you need to find a pace of working that ensures you can maintain a consistent, fast but comfortable pace, whilst keeping your overall errors and omissions minimal to nonexistent.

In my practices, I completed about 10-11 lines on every sheet, had no more than 1 error or omission, and had a Row Fluctuation score below 3. On the day, I passed to my TOC’s enhanced standard.

All the best with your preparation. :)

I have just got 1296 cells with no errors. Does anyone know if this would be a pass or what is needed for a pass ?

I did this for TPE last week and I believe they require a pass at advanced level(someone correct me if I’m wrong)

I had about 4 lines left on each and I like to think I got none wrong lol

Hello!
I have been carrying out some revision for myself and doing paper tests on the Group Bourdon test. I was just curious if anyone roughly knew how my scores were in comparison to either a pass or an enhanced mark?
My score was
3 Targets Omitted,
39 Rows Completed

And another couple of questions were, if I don't complete a row when I have to change paper, do the rest of those targets missed on that line after my previous marker count as 'targets omitted'?
And if you mark an incorrect target but put an X due to knowing it was a mistake, will this get marked as a mistaken target or would it be overlooked due to you marking yourself that it was incorrect and a mistake?

I just practiced the GB test, on 5 sheets 2 mins each. I complete around 10-11 lines and have 5 omissions overall. Is that good?

The number of lines is in line with what I completed but I would look to improve your omissions and aim for a minimum of 1 or 2.

So on the practice material I’m consistently getting 9 full lines / starting line 10 with 1
Mistake and no omissions!

So does line fluctuation count towards your final score? My range is 10-12 Completed Lines. Is that something I should be concerned about?

Nobody really knows how it is scored but the getting 9-10 rows with as few omissions or mistakes as possible seems to be a good benchmark.

I think it had been asked but not sure Iv seen a answer or if anyone knows. What happens if you get halfway through a lind or no time to finish it? As u can see Iv marked with a ] where I got up to before timer went off but underlined few groups of 4 I have missed. Do they mark the full line or somehow know where u you have stopped on that test and moved on?

I’ve passed yesterday, 11/12 lines done with “minimal mistakes” was what I was told

Hi all,
I have stage 1 on Tuesday and so far I have been practicing both the GBT and SCAAT on paper and on the pc. GBT on paper I am completing 7 lines with 3 errors total.
SCAAT tests im completing 11 lines with virtually no errors.

Letters and symbols aren't an issue, its the dots.

Is it always going to 4 patterns of 4 dots?

It will always be 4 dots you’re looking for. Look for the shape of the dots rather than counting the dots, this will help you speed ip.. but u need to practice practice practice

Agree totally with this! What I did was practice one test then on separate piece of paper when trough the test again but drawing all different shapes of groups of 4 that where there. There’s only so many plus gets you use to the shape/group styles to look out for. Then I look at this for a few mins before a test just to remind my self. Iv put up pic to try nd help.
