It doesn't. None of the test prove or guarantee that an individual can drive trains, that test comes when your physically in the hot seat on your own and have to deal with the day to day crap.

What it does do though (rightly or wrongly) is filter the amount of applicants and this specific test is supposed to test the candidates ability to perform boring repetitive tasks and test their concentration.

This topic is probably in the wrong section though.

group bourdon what load **** how does prove a good train driver?

It took years of research to design the tests for train drivers and Group Bourdon was one of them, if you can't do it you won't become a train driver

oh failed to find the sub forum to. passed all the other tests inculding scaats which seems very simlar found the dots hard on the the eyes.

Just because you failed the test does not mean it is no good, obviously you were not suitable in that area, maybe get your eyes tested if you found it hard on your eyes, if that was the reason it is a shame you didn't pass.
