I thought this quite unusual wo I thought I'd post on this one.

I managed to scratch a few GatEx 387s working an half hourly Brighton service
out of London Bridge ,which also called at Norwood Junction and East Croydon.

I think this service normally runs non stop from Victoria to Gatwick Airport, making these units a bit more challenging to get for haulage as you don't see them stopping at Clapham Junction.

There was engineering works going on around Selhurst triangle I noticed.

So this is probably why 387s were at London Bridge.

Yes, GTR are operating 4 trains per hour between London Bridge and Brighton this weekend, due to the engineering works.

Ha, I scratched 3 triple sets for haulage
so there's a start as I hadn't any before.

Does this service operate from Victoria
and does anyone know what stations in Zone 1-6 they stop at if any?
Cheers

So a tough class to clear for haulage unless you are on an all line rover or
have a Gatwick-London season ticket lol.

Is the engineering works only for this weekend do you know?

If subsequent weekends follow
It could be a good idea to chase
these whilst they operate a stopping services.

Cheers

The 387/2s operate some of the Southern branded
late evening services from Brighton to Victoria (and to Brighton) which is an easier way to get some in the book on a travelcard

Did a day trip Bedford to Brighton yesterday. Got turfed out at Kentish Town due to a line side fire at Smithfield (causing services through the core to be suspended.)

Cue hundreds of upset passengers who had no information at Kentish and several wheelchairs unable to get up the narrow stairs. I ferried many suit cases, belonging to elderly people headed to Gatwick, up the steps.

Tube to London Bridge to be greeted by 387s in platform 10 running to Brighton. Totally unplanned, but a result.

I managed to scratch my last 2 (213 and 214) on Saturday, class completely cleared now.

They were also operating on the London Bridge - Brighton circuit over the Christmas / new year period, I've now had 24 of the 27 either in to or out of London Bridge.

Cheers.
