I don't think it is a C17, the cockpit would be more modern. Flat screens etc.
Also, it's not a C130, the windows don't look right.

A squadron near Lincoln?

I'm realising now just how little I know outside of modern boeing, airbus and military aircaft :s

;) A challenge is always good though? I'll give you a clue, English speakers often seem to laugh at this aircraft manufacturer's name. The type was operated by at least 4 or so UK based airlines.
