Without looking it up, which companies manage the following stations?

1. Lockerbie

2. Newcastle Central

3. London Liverpool Street

4. Barnetby

5. Dronfield

6. Cambridge

The answers are not always what you may expect.

The obvious answer, although probably not the correct one, for Newcastle is GNER...mainly because the whole station is in their colours.

Probably wrong though! Cheers

You are right. Anyone who has not been there would be forgiven for thinking it's an NR managed station, given the various operators (GNER/Virgin/TPE/Northern/Scotrail[1]), but it is indeed GNER.

(1) Scotrail through trains to Stranrear serve Newcastle, but they are operated by Northern crews between Carlisle and Newcastle.

158 - did you know all that?

Cambridge being 'one' is a bit daft (given that WAGN operate the main service to London, and anyone going north or west would take Central to Peterborough), but Lockerbie and Dronfield are particularly ridiculous

All correct, except that Motherwell is managed by First Scotrail, not SPT.

And Railtrack is now Network Rail ;)

I have already, correctly in most cases, answered. And I'm afraid it is unforgiveable not to know Leeds is a network rail station (says he who has direct services to 2 destinations, one of which is Leeds).
