Passing here the other day I saw there was a stop board on the curve to what was GB North Junction. I know that the North Junction ends in Avenue sidings now with a bit of complication to get onto the Stalybridge Lines. Is the curve OOU or is the stop board only temporary?When was the last use of the curve? I remember there used to be a 47 and ECS were turned here, Sundays only. Going back further, c1972, double headed 76s freight from Woodhead ran right up to the limit of electrification at Cavendish St(now next to Asda) in Ashton and reversed into Brookside sidings.
