I’m trying to book tickets for my parents from Didcot to Weston-Super-Mare for 11th June but GWR website is saying there are no seat reservations left (15.11 from Didcot). Advance tickets are still on sale and there’s no way the train is fully booked so it seems like yet another booking problem due to software issues. So often what should be straightforward booking of tickets is far from that.

Advance tickets showing as available is not always a good indicator - if large amount of walk up tickets have been sold with reservations then although quota of Advance may not have sold out when you reach final stage of booking it will decline your purchase if unable to reserve a seat.
