Yes it has a rather annoying habit of shutting down when full power selected.....
Anyone know if 10229 came with the sleeper?
Unsure of workload and time that it will be at Reading before we get it.
We've just shunted & reformed the Sleeper set for tonight's 1C99 - no 10229, still sat in the yard on it's lonesome.
Will 1C99 start at Paddington tonight? Works in Cornwall mean it's only going as far Plymouth so starting at Reading tonight would mean a pretty short sleep for a those on a sleeper.
1C99 should start as normal tonight - 57603 is train engine / 57604 is pilot.

GWR Journey Check and Tyrell messages approximately 30 minutes ago state 1C99 to start at Reading again. 1C36 to be held 15 minutes at Paddington. Hopefully this is just an example of publishing the worst case scenario early just in case.
Both updated at 12.15 to reflect running as scheduled.
10229 still at Reading yesterday, attached to 17175:-
Unconfirmed as at 1600 (!) but 229 will be on rear of tonights down ?. 10232 should be put into tomorrow's up set IN service until Christmas break when its due to be withdrawn ( again ! ).
10229 is in the consist for 1C99 tonight.
Where will 10229 be when it gets to Long Rock tomorrow morning cause I am going to take photos of it if it's where the 08 is
Depends on exam work but train normally ends up in shed on a thurs but there is also a buffet swap as "old blue" 10232 is going in so be on the coast path for 0850...... !!
I hope to see it soon cause the last time I saw 10229 was at Laira but I won't be able to see it tomorrow morning
10229 is on the rear of the down sleepers if it is of help to anyone.
Third and final brake coach to be refurbished, 17175 has rejoined us from Wolverton. RFMB 10225 has taken its place as the final vehicle in the fleet to be done.

Work has started to make it fit for service for after the Christmas break. Fellow 10219 now due back from refurbishment around 21 Dec.
This years last services will start Fri 21 Dec with 2019s first runs on tue 1Jan.
When should the other buffet 10212 be coming?
Have not been told of any time period yet.
As yet no solid evidence but " upper management " are saying Veg - Ex WILL be running again for 2019....
When I know positively 100%, i will post.
This is very much dependent upon the number of HSTGTi's in service in time...... .
The last blue coach, buffet 10232 makes its last down trip tonight and its last trip in service on Fridays' up. White buffet 10229 will be tripped up to Reading tomorrow night too, not in use, but should be in service on the down on Jan 1..... .
2nd refurbished buffet 10219 should be delivered from Wolverton to Reading tomorrow but will most likely spend Christmas there before being worked down to us before entry into service in place of the white one which will go back spare until 10225 is finished.
