Thanks, I was going on the Frequently Requested Diagrams thread which shows two additional diagrams on the Swansea/Bristol routes.

Post 574 in this thread has the right trains for 12/02/18. The frequently requested diagrams for 15/01/18 is not correct.

According to RTT the only afternoon services this sunday out of Paddington that start and return to the North Pole IEP Depot are:

1442: Hereford

1542: Worcester Foregate St.

and return. All other afternoon IC services are shown as returning to Old Oak Common HST Depot.

;)

Sorry that I couldn’t get anymore. Blame RTT... Good luck in getting one.

If 10.45 Padd-Swansea is not an IET by week 4th Feb, then ill change my plan, as on a 7 day 1st class ALR, so just wait for next Swansea IET working.

The 10.45 Padd-Swansea is an IET again, as the 07.12 Taunton-Padd had a working from Stoke Gifford to form it, which then forms the 10.45 Padd-Swansea.

I think there may be two new diagrams as of today, just that it isn't those that were previously listed which did highlight that they were unconfirmed. The two new ones look to be

5W12 0523 North Pole - Paddington
1W12 0547 Paddington - Worcester Foregate St
1P22 0825 Worcester Foregate St - Paddington
1W23 1122 Paddington - Worcester Foregate St
1P33 1355 Worcester Foregate St - Paddington
5P33 1637 Paddington - North Pole

5W19 0847 North Pole - Paddington
1W19 0921 Paddington - Worcester Foregate St
1P29 1200 Worcester Foregate St - Paddington
1W31 1522 Paddington - Great Malvern
1P45 1834 Great Malvern - Paddington
5P45 2142 Paddington - North Pole

The ECSs from North Pole 5W12 and 5W19 did appear to run and 1P22/1W23 & 1W19/1P29 are all shown as formed of 5 coaches on tiger so I would have thought that they are 800, but I could be wrong.

Beware though that all Cotswold IET trains are subject to the usual issues;

09:21 London Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street due 11:31 will be terminated at Worcester Shrub Hill.
It will no longer call at Worcester Foregate Street.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

12:00 Worcester Foregate Street to London Paddington due 14:27 will be started from Worcester Shrub Hill.
It will no longer call at Worcester Foregate Street.
This is due to a shortage of train crew.

11:22 London Paddington to Worcester Foregate Street due 13:44 will be terminated at Oxford.
It will no longer call at Hanborough, Charlbury, Kingham, Moreton-in-Marsh, Honeybourne, Evesham, Pershore, Worcester Shrub Hill and Worcester Foregate Street.
This is due to a shortage of train drivers.

13:55 Worcester Foregate Street to London Paddington due 16:27 will be started from Oxford.

Twitter seems to be suggesting that the 0710 from Moreton will be IET formed, since it’s currently a Turbo and is normally 3v6v8? Similar to the 1751 return from Paddington?

It will be formed of an IET eventually but I don't think that will be happening any time soon. It is meant to be an HST but with GWR apparently being short after a couple of power cars ran into trees, this week it seems to be running as a three-car Turbo from Moreton-in-Marsh as far as Oxford, where another set is coupled on - or was on Monday, at any rate.

At the moment the Cotswold Line is a complete lottery as to whether a train runs - though yesterday and today are better than many in recent weeks - and what stock is used, as staff availability and traction knowledge seem to be a challenge. Yesterday Journeycheck indicated an HST was going to be used on the 16.22 from Paddington but was replaced by a three-car Turbo, so no calls at Combe and Finstock, as no selective doors.

Tiger showing today's 16.22 PAD HFD formed of 2 coaches.

So at least it can call at the small stations.

But surely one of the 3 class 800s out on the Cotswold line today could have been rostered for this working?

No, because the 16.22 does not fit in with the Cotswold duties the other sets are being used on at the moment - the 13.55 from Worcester (being worked by 800018 today) does not reach Paddington until 16.27 and the other two sets should be out on the 14.21 and 15.22 from Paddington

Hmm. Surely a train of two coaches with no first class or disabled toilet is surely not suitable for a three hour journey? Let’s hope this is suitably fixed soon!

The new Worcester depot has been given far too much work for its drivers to cover which is the main reason for the appalling cancellation rate and frequent replacement of trains with Turbos or HSTs. Oxford depot does not yet sign IETs so unless Bristol HSS depot can help out there is no other driver cover available for the daily shifts Worcester can't cover.

Regarding this specific train, the 16:21ex PAD, the cancellation rate is so high that I believe a temporary measure is to be introduced using 2x 2-car 165s crewed by either Oxford LTV or Paddington LTV depots, the rear of which will detach at Oxford with a 2-car beyond there. Should be enough space on board from Paddington (just), but likely to be very cosy Oxford to Hanborough and people liable to be standing as far as at least Charlbury and possibly Kingham. At least it will be able to run though, as it has hardly run at all since the new timetable.

1B15 is not booked an IET, and 1A09 07.12 Taunton-Paddington cancelled due to 5A09 from Stoke Gifford not running, so 1B25 10.45 Paddington-Swansea is a HST today, and presume 14.29 Swansea-Paddington will be HST too.

Anyone know if the 1W14 0652 London Paddington to Great Malvern & 1P25 0954 Great Malvern to London Paddington will likely be an 800 as in Frequently Requested Diagrams Thread.

That’s what it’s diagrammed to be... Any no shows or substitutions are unplanned.

1B15 was an IET a few weeks ago.
