Bit early to tell, Diagrams for that period aren't out yet.

Well, only a matter of time before the BTP got involved over this - a fight over seat reservations! This was tonight according to GWR's Twitter page on the 20:49 from Bath Spa to London which I believe originated from Bristol Temple Meads at 20:35. I think the BTP got on at Bath Spa.

The BTP apparently spoke to those involved. I bet they're not happy with this when far more serious issues could be dealt with at the same time!

The hybrid reservation system can't come soon enough.

Great, thanks. I'm hoping to try the wheelchair accessible Pullman dining from Plymouth so will start planning for a date after the 10th.

Are 802 diagrams still as previously posted? Any upcoming changes for the weekend and into next week?

IC89 is supposed to be a 10 car 802 I believe. However, this article states that IET intro to Newbury has been delayed and this train stops at Newbury? Does this mean that, at present, it's not an IET? I also notice it's late almost every day! (Getting it tomorrow to Tiverton Parkway)

https://www.railmagazine.com/news/n...wbury-iet-introduction-for-cctv-modifications

No, it’s the DOO IET services to Bedwyn that are currently on hold - long distance services are still fully crewed so the DOO Camera issue doesn’t affect them.

Interesting. Now 802's appear to be concentrated on the WOE route and Oxford/Worcesters/Great Malvern. No 802's to Swansea and 802's only serve Bristol on the early morning Pad to PNZ via BTM and the late returning PNZ to PAD via BTM.
Shame one of those is running on a 90mph turbo diagram!!

Did this work out as planned?

When will coupling / uncoupling happen at Temple Meads? IIRC should have started Oct 2017, over a year ago?

Is 2 minutes still the required time as per published DfT spec?

Looking on Trust for yesterday, between Penzance and London Paddington:

05:41 1A77 Penzance to London Paddington was single 5-car 802015 to Plymouth, where it attached to 802011.

12:04/14:00/16:00/17:42 departures were 2x5-car 802s throughout from Penzance to London.

Penzance bound:
06:35 2x5-car Class 800s throughout
07:30/10:03/12:03 2x5-car 802s throughout
18:03 Paddington to Penzance was 2x5-car 802s as far as Plymouth- 5-cars beyond Plymouth to Penzance.

No, they are running on 802 diagrams. It’s just that some of the workings within a diagram are still timed for a 90 mph 165/166.

The workings on IW950 (2C48 & 2E89) are still timed for 75mph sprinters, if you look on RTT.

Seems on day 2 of 1a77 coupling at Plymouth not all went to plan. On time from Cornwall, departed Plymouth 8 late due to problems coupling. Can't wait till this is almost every service LOL

On the Cotswold Line IW958 and IW959 were both being worked by Class 800s today - 015 on IW958 and 027 on IW959.

Suggests reliability is still a major issue - more than a year after introduction! Does.anyone know what the issues were today?

How does it suggest that? It could equally suggest that availability of five-car 800s was better than expected today, allowing a couple of 802s to be held in reserve in case of problems on West Country services. Or the allocations could have been for any number of other reasons.

Diagram IW954 was worked by 802013. Picture taken near Combe on the Cotswold Line by Martin Loader

Apparently an 802 was reported on 1 L 16 this morning. Is this an STP working?

Am I right in thinking that 802101 is not usually allocated to any particular diagram? Is it the only 9 car class 802 available for service?

AFAIK it’s the only one that’s been accepted for service but not 100% on that. No 9 car 802 diagrams have been issued yet.
