Yes I thought you might have mentioned that. I believe the plan is to swap the numbers with 48101?

I understand that 48111 which was delivered to FGW in March 2018 will be renumbered as follows

48111 to be renumbered to 48101

48101 is to be renumbered to 48103

“Will be” or have been? Can’t run two vehicles at the same time with the same registered number. So either the renumbering has been done or the vehicle out of Wabtec tonight ain’t 48111.

I can confirm that tonight's consist was 43186, 48112, 48111, 48110, 49104, 43093. Seen at Kings Norton at 2122

This is getting confusing unless as has been said renumbering has taken place

You would hope that the numbering has been done. What I'm confused at more to the point is why they changed the Coach numbers in the first place.

They will be there for at least a week. Good to see GWR are getting there sets thick and reasonably fast.

Longer than that - power cars should be getting interlock mods and repaint.

I have seen nothing regarding any problems with the introduction of the sets on March 25th so can assume everything is going well.
Fingers crossed

Travelled twice on BTM to Taunton on 25th and 26th March on 4 coach HST, with slam doors. Acceleration is great, with quite aggressive braking at times. Had two drivers, maybe one was an instructor. Some stations were very slow to approach, others had aggressive braking style. Did not use full power until out of each station, and on both times reduced power so did not exceed 100mph south of Weston on the 110mph stretch toward Highbridge. Because of the greater dwell time at each station compared to 158 or 166, did not make up any of the lost time. Was really nice to have 4 coaches on this crowded route.
