Missed this news earlier. Thumper Tour from Hastings to Skegness and back was cancelled at Tunbridge Wells, this morning. Fire alarm sounding. Hopefully, the matter isn't too serious. It should've passed me about 10 minutes ago on the return journey.

Yes a rather disappointing day for passengers and organisers alike. Here's hoping a second attempt at the trip is made soon.

Seemingly the fault was an issue with the fire suppression system. No fire identified, but without a working system the unit had to be taken out of traffic.

I’m afraid the #JollyFisherman railtour has been cancelled.

We were not permitted to proceed without the fire suppression system available, as is standard practice.
